Maintenance Engineer An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical business based in Dartford. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering qualification, strong communication skills and have experience working within a process, manufacturing, FMCG, Food or scientific industry. Within this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production and site services equipment whilst driving efficiencies through continuous improvement activities and other Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) / Lean tools. Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities: Applying a range of mechanical skills including, installation, condition based monitoring, fault-finding and servicing. Delivering (PPM) planned maintenance on time Driving and training operating teams in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Use TPM/Lean tools to maintain continuous improvement activities and process change initiatives i.e. Kaizen activity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), 5S and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) etc Be actively involved in the company's Practical Process Improvement (PPI) program Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to breakdowns and to ensure any identified corrective and preventative actions are completed Maintenance Engineer Experience Required: Must be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard. HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering is desirable. Electrical competency is desirable Proven experience in FMCG Pharma/Food industry experience in a process or packing environment. IT Literacy required and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint and are desirable Proven track record of improvement project involvement and delivery is preferred.
