An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Multi Skilled Operative / Facilities Technician based in St Andrews Community Hospital.

Liaising with the Mears Multi Trade Team you will enable a response to emergencies and other works within a given time period, whilst ensuring the work has been carried out both effectively and efficiently. You will complete the works to a high-quality standard in order to maximise first time fix criteria, appointment objectives alongside improving client satisfaction.

You will be able to submit presentable and accurate paperwork which includes PDA data base information coupled with using SOR and descriptive works, in order to cost works which are being completed. Within the role you will work within a busy team environment, reporting individual actions from site guaranteeing maximum service delivery and high levels of client satisfaction at all times.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you are M&E qualified and/or have a trade’s background. With good general knowledge of all trades, including plumbing, electrical, joinery and general repairs, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.

Confident with M&E and plant room equipment with the ability to fault find, you will be able to prioritise work within a range of complex work areas and will have knowledge of risk assessments, contractor management and H&S required.

Whilst working hours are contracted, the post holder will be expected to take a responsible attitude to delivering work objectives, which may involve on occasion working longer hours. You will also be expected to participate in an On Call rota.

Candidates for this role must hold a full valid UK driving licence.

The ability to obtain enhanced PVG clearance through Disclosure Scotland is also essential.
