Heating Engineer Team Leader
£32,000 - £48,000
Shaw Renewables are recruiting an experienced Heating Engineer accomplished in leading a technically capable team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and market leading Bioenergy specialist with exciting plans for future growth and expansion.
The successful candidate will have considerable knowledge and technical expertise within the Biogas, Biomass, HVAC, CHP and system controls industry. They will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading, organising, and implementing all aspects of an installation.

Purpose of post
The role holder is responsible for leading a team in installing, repairing and maintaining technical plant, pipework, and other components used for heating and water distribution within the commercial and industrial heating sector.
The role requires a level of experience and maturity that enables the fulfillment of a practical hands on approach to the work in addition to offering guidance and leadership to the team around them.
The role is responsible for ensuring that all specifications, legislation and Company quality policies and procedures are completed for all projects.
Customer service, quality control and continual improvement by means of attention to detail at every stage of the process are critical elements of the role. Excellent communication skills are essential to allow interaction between both customers and contractors, to identify their needs; and the ability to clearly explain the method that conforms to the companies QMS.
Due to the specialised nature of our products, it is of utmost importance that the successful candidate possesses a high level of technical expertise within the Biomass, HVAC, CHP and system controls industry, as well as a sound understanding of government regulations. We would expect the role holder to continually self-improve to become an expert within our field.
This post is based at our Head Office in Simonswood, West Lancashire but will involve regular travel within the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, repair and maintain commercial technical plant, pipework, and other components used for heating and water distribution
* Provide leadership and guidance for a team of engineers
* Meet regular performance targets and coordinate installation projects
* Maintain accurate records in line with Company QMS
* Comply with all installation specifications, relevant legislations and Company quality policies
* Administer and schedule work
* Evaluating and interpreting drawings and schematics.
* Managing health and safety for all projects in your care
* Contribute to after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
* Perform other related duties as required
About You

Essential:
* A proven level of ability usually attained through a Minimum of 3 years commercial experience working as a fully qualified and competent heating engineer.
* At least 2-years experience and able to demonstrate proven track record in the Biomass, HVAC, CHP and system controls industry and has experience in Biogas combustion.
* Track record of preparation and implementation of projects to completion and sign off
* Very analytical and detail-oriented, organised with a clear dedication to customer satisfaction
* Professional representation of the Company and with exceptional communications skills.
* IT literate (Microsoft suite) and excellent record keeping/data management.
* NVQ Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Plumbing & Heating.
* HETAS H005 / H005DE biomass (or equivalent).
* Basic Electrical knowledge
* Full driving licence
