Our client has an exciting opportunity available for an IT Technician to join the Facilities and Resources team, working 37 hours per week, based in Burgess Hill. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £20,292 per annum!
The IT Technician Role
The post holders will provide technical support to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot often complex issues relating to IT equipment and software in offices and classrooms including printers, interactive whiteboards, projectors, the services virtual learning environment (MOODLE) and connectivity.
The post holders will work within the Facilities and Resources team to ensure that the IT systems used by the company are effectively maintained and are of high quality for staff and students. They will provide user support for IT systems.
Their Ideal IT Technician
The role will require the post holders to use their initiative, organise their own workload and respond independently to unanticipated problems and situations. The post holders must demonstrate flexibility as they may on occasion be required to work evenings, weekends or at locations other than their normal place of work to ensure the needs of the business are met. A full UK Driving Licence is required.
Applicants will need strong communication and interpersonal skills along with knowledge of supporting Windows based IT systems including Active Directory and Office 365. Experience of SharePoint and SQL would be advantageous.
Candidates should have previous experience working in an IT Support role, preferably with an understanding of a teaching environment. Finally, applicants should have an IT user qualification to at least level 3 or equivalent, and GCSE Grade C or above in English & Maths or equivalent.
