1st Line Support Engineer - SC cleared

Aldermaston, Reading

Salary: £23,339

As the 1st line software support engineer you will be providing Help desk/Web support through remote tools, telephone assistance and email support.

Ownership and management of tickets, including responsibility for the resolution and timely functional escalation within contracted SLAs.
  • Please note that for this role you will need to have SC clearance as a minimum and be prepared to undergo DV clearance.

Essential skills/qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, W7, W10 Office 2003 / 2010, Office 365.
  • Experience of Active Directory including Admin Functions.
  • TCP/IP knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of remote control technology / applications.
  • Knowledge or awareness of network infrastructures and terminology's.
  • HP Service Manager / Other call management tools or systems.


Core hours are 8am-6pm.

Alternate weeks - Monday to Friday, then Monday to Thursday.
