£30,000pa - £45,000pa
Our client, a leading organisation near Swindon is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their contracting team on a full time, permanent basis.
You will be using your experience and knowledge to manage the global procurement of products, establishing of a long-term sustainable portfolio of suppliers and services. Build and maintain strong contractual relationships with key suppliers ensuring a balance of competitive and exclusive purchase agreements. Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain key supplier relationships, negotiating exclusive prices and unique products.

- Negotiated commercial agreements and marketing contributions with third party providers

- Maintain understanding of business pricing strategy, margins and volumes associated with each product or service
- Create a team to effectively manage the contract management process
- Review supplier performance and highlight any contractual risks to Senior Management Team
- Possess understanding of pricing strategy, margins and volumes associated with every product
- Monitor product/service statistics and identify strategic initiatives in order to drive increased market share.
- Provide strong and dynamic team leadership, to support supplier relationship building, market research and negotiating skills.
- Support definition of timetable to research and negotiate product briefs, creating new supplier relationships and reinforce supply agreements.
- Travel to UK and global suppliers to finalise agreements.
- Provide support to all areas of the business to ensure products/service are operationally viable
- Review customer feedback to identify opportunities to improve product/service quality and service.
- Creation of department plan to support company sales strategies
- Ensure the department has robust administration processes



Required Skills / Experience

- Experience in contracting, negotiating and new supplier development

- Driven and highly self-motivated team member
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Positively challenge and offer innovative solutions to issues
- Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and Word
- Able to engage and build relationships with all level of internal stakeholders
- Driven and highly self-motivated

- Ability to undertake travel abroad, when required.
