Area Sales Manager - Midlands

Salary c£28k + car + commission

Based Midlands

A Sales Engineer / Account Manager is required for a growing engineering company. You will be responsible for developing business within a region between Norfolk, Birmingham and Hull. The company provide specialist equipment, predominantly within the water industry. The end client is predominantly the Environment Agency, however you will be developing key business relationships within both the public and private sectors. The role will include a mix of developing new business along with maximising potential within existing accounts.

The candidate will work on a bespoke CRM (Client Relationship Management) system, and ensure accurate and up to date information is recorded and shared with the sales and estimating team. You will work with the estimating department and projects team to ensure the clients requirements are communicated, costed and delivered so that all parties outcomes are met.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career further within a growing and ambitious organisation. They do require someone who has a genuine interest in engineering. You will also have proven experience within a sales role gained within engineering, ideally capital equipment.

Candidates will possess strong self motivation and be able to communicate to an audience in a confident and professional manner. You will have excellent organisational skills, with an ability to manage workloads by prioritising and meeting deadlines. Strong commercial awareness to enable decision making is essential. An ability to work under pressure, analyse problems and deliver solutions is a must.

As a largely field based role, a willingness to travel is necessary.

An interest in environmental issues would be very relevant for this position
