To ensure client communication and contact is regular, timely and sufficient for the clients requirements

- To participate as a member of the firm in client development activity and to promote the firm

- To produce the work to the required standard of professionals to encourage referrals and repeat business

Legal Advice

- To keep up to date with developments in the law, taking responsibility for self development and ensuring CPD is observed

- To apply the law effectively to client problems

- To meet with all requirements of the Law Society regulations for professional conduct and comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules

Billing & Time Recording

- To ensure the firms procedures for the department are followed when recording time and managing the billing process

- To meet set targets

File Management

- To ensure adequate file reviews are carried out in accordance with firms guidelines and compliance with SRA regulations

- To manage work in accordance with the firms set procedures and quality standards

- To ensure confidentiality and security of all documentation

- To progress work efficiently and effectively

Management & Supervision

- To develop less experienced staff to their full potential

- To manage and supervise staff within the department to produce the best service for the client

- To be aware of circumstances which may give rise to money laundering, fraud and cross selling

- To manage his/her relationships within the firm to contribute to a positive working environment for everyone

- To act as Line Manager to fee earners and support staff and carry out appraisals of such staff

- Play an active part in the development of the firms Business Plan

- Member of the Management Team

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- To develop the department in line with the business plan

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- To have achieved at least 3 years PQE and to have a sense of loyalty to the firm and its Partners

- A current Practising Certificate

- Excellent communication skills

- Smart appearance, courteous, helpful, and well mannered

- Delegation and supervision skills
