Description

Mechanical Inspector required, Ideally CMM and Manual Inspection experience in a precision machining environment.

Purpose of the job:

To ensure correct practise and legalities with respect to product quality to customer requirements

Key Responsibilities:

*

* To identify in good time any potential non-conformances

*

* To ensure self and others are working in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

* The effective implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, including KPI’s where ownership is assigned.

Specific Duties

*

* To carry out first-off, in process and last off Inspection of detailed parts and assembles in a timely and efficient manor according to customer specification.

* Verify parts are correct to drawing requirements to include the correct orientation (hand).

* Check any part mark details are correct as per job card and drawing.

* Verify that all previous operations have been completed (signed, dated and/or stamped)

* Ensure all FAIR products are inspected for conformity during manufacturing at each operation with recorded dimensions as per QP15.

* To follow specific customer quality requirements when required (the use of web-based portals or specific documents/forms)

* To promote the awareness that where errors occur they are detected as early as possible during the manufacturing process and not at final inspection stages.

*

* To ensure accurate and timely information and data is made available (when applicable) for Key Performance Indicators.

* To support Third Party audit activity when requested

* To maintain Quality Records/documentation in accordance with QP 1.

* To manage housekeeping & professional conduct.

* To assist in ascertaining root cause corrective / preventive action.

* To ensure all monitoring and measuring equipment has a current certificate of calibration.

* To use all test and inspection equipment to ascertain the validity of product.

Standard working 40 hours:

Monday - Thursday - 7.30am - 4.30pm

Friday - 7.30am - 1.00pm

Overtime at time and a third
