Our client is looking for a customer-focused Production Planner/Co-ordinator. They want a proactive individual with excellent communication, organisational and administration skills. This role would suit a forward-thinking individual who can provide a practical hands-on approach within a production team and thrive on customer contact in a busy manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities - Work closely with the Production and Planning team to support the scheduling of customer orders. - Effectively manage the communication of the schedule/ production plan internally within the business and externally with the customer. - Build strong relationships with customers and undertake customer visits as and when required. - Be the Voice of the Customer within the business ensuring that customer requests are actioned and responded to. - Communicate directly between the customer and production team and encourage creative thinking to manage changes in customer requirements, engineering and schedule changes. - Track and provide daily status reports of materials and parts both from suppliers and free issue items from customers. - Prioritise and monitor production schedules/tasks and adjusting them as appropriate to suit the customer's requirement. - Receive, review and load customer purchase orders and conduct initial contract review. Liaise with production and planning before committing to delivery dates with customers. - Manage the Customer Order Book for defined Key Customers. - Assist Accounts Department with any invoice queries and payment collection issues. - Support Production, Sales and others departments as and when required with regards to Customer queries. Previous experience within a manufacturing background is required. Experience in working within a Composite Manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communications skills with a can-do attitude. The role will also require excellent planning and organisational skills.
