The Medical Protection Society Limited ("MPS") is the world’s leading protection organisation for doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals. We protect and support the professional interests of more than 300,000 members around the world. Membership provides access to expert advice and support together with the right to request indemnity for any complaints or claims arising from professional practice.

Our in-house experts assist with the wide range of legal and ethical problems that arise from professional practice. This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.

An opportunity has arisen for a talented Marketing Communications Lead to join the Marketing Communications department here in our Leeds office on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract.


Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing Communications Lead will support the development and implementation of MPS’s strategic initiatives, driving brand engagement through the delivery of communications to support member acquisition, cross-sell, loyalty and retention - ensuring an integrated approach to create a true multi-channel customer experience.

The Marketing Communications Lead will partner and influence cross-functionally with other teams to identify and develop new and innovative methods of communication to maximise value; contributing to all Member Engagement strategies that will contribute to MPS’s Net Promoter Score and brand attribution measures.


* Supporting the Head of Marketing Communications and Marketing Communications Manager in delivery of the Marketing Communications and Digital Communications strategies

* Supporting the delivery of key milestones of identified strategic initiatives

* Contributing to the achievement of market share through engaging communications that drive brand loyalty and brand perception across all segments and countries

* Executing multiple tasks and initiatives, being agility without compromising high standards

* Working with external agencies to develop engaging messaging and creative for retention, acquisition and engagement of members

* Having an understanding of project requirements and build robust communications that support the projects effectively

* Regularly evaluating communications tactics and channels, documenting the results and sharing with the project and key stakeholders

* Providing marketing communications support to marketing and business development teams,

* Understanding and interpreting market best practice, applying and testing where appropriate to the members’ experience.

* Ensuring communications are executed with complete performance metrics, results analysis and reporting

* Complying with relevant regulation

* Complying with applicable professional ethical guidelines and all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to health and safety, data protection, IT security and all those contained within the issued staff handbook.

The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator and a key team player who can prioritise, manage and deliver outstanding campaigns when under pressure.
