Lead (Cloud) DevOps Engineer required on a permanent basis. Located in London including great travel opportunities around Europe within one of the Big Four Companies with a salary of £70,000 and great benefits package.

Your new role

Working within a team environment you'll lead a team of 4 Junior DevOps Engineers whilst reporting into the Director of Operations. You'll play a pivotal role in troubleshooting issues that arise in development systems whilst also responsible for the architecture and technical leadership of the CloudOps Infrastructure; Your day to day role and responsibilities will include;
  • Identify new tools and process to improve the cloud platform and automate processes
  • Develop scripts to automate the deployment of Cloud Architecture and Solutions
  • Automation of continuous integration and delivery
  • Develop and Implement Cloud Architecture and solutions for Cloud Platforms
  • Capture and coherently put forward best practice knowledge within Deliotte Cloud teams
  • Setup and manage backups, patching and AV/malware software across the environments

What you'll need to succeed

The desirable candidate will have previous experience within Cloud Architecture with proven experience leading a team. You'll have a strong knowledge of configuring and managing Linux and Windows with the ability to adapt to new technologies. A keen aptitude in ability to deliver training as well as manage junior members of your team to ensure solutions are resolved will be key to your success. You'll have confident decision making and communication skills in order to effectively resolve issues at hand. Previous experience of working with;
  • Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Ability to build enterprise applications and solutions using AWS, Azure or Google
  • Experience of automation and provisioning approaches, using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell, Python & C#.
  • Knowledge of agile software development tools and methodologies (Continuous integration, git, Jenkins, splunk etc.)

Desirable experience;
  • Cloud Solution Architect certification (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Proven Scripting or programming experience (Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Proven Experience of MicroServices and container-based systems (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos)
  • Experience of agile project management approaches and tools (eg Atlassian Jira/Confluence)
