Are you a whizz on accessible technology with exceptional customer service experience?
Do you want to join a growing national charity and know everyday you are making a positive difference to someone’s life ?
The Role
This is a new position within our organisation and one that we are very excited about. We know that many people with sensory loss are increasingly excluded from the digital world. Therefore gaining access to information, services and opportunities to socialise through social media can be almost impossible and something many of us take for granted.
With many mainstream digital products having adaptive technologies designed within as standard such as tablets, kindles etc, the opportunities to enable people with a sensory impairment access to the internet and the benefits it brings has never been greater.
Your role will be responsible for delivering and developing our Technology Inclusion Service throughout London and enabling people with a combined sight & hearing loss to access online services through adaptive and mainstream technology. You will be showcasing and offering training, support and advice to members, colleagues and 3rd parties, whilst researching new adaptive technologies and professionally building relationships with providers.
Who are we looking for...
You do not need experience in the disability sector. If you have excellent technical abilities as identified in the person specification, a commitment to using technology for social good - the right attitude and a passion for IT, developing, researching and delivering new technologies that will make a difference and share in our Organisational Care Values then we look forward to receiving your application.
Does this sound like you? Do you want a rewarding role and be part of team really making a difference to communities?
To Apply - Simply complete the short application form, attach your CV and tell us why you are the best person for this job.
You may have experience in : Computer Science Degree; City & Guilds Digital IT diploma; Windows based certifications, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, assistive technology, Dolphin Supernova Certified Specialist, Dolphin Guide Certified Specialist, deafblind, blind, deaf, technology, apple, ipad, digital inclusion, application technology
