Your new School
I am currently working with a highly rated mainstream secondary school in the borough of Waltham Forest. The school is based in an ideal location easily accessible via public transport. You will be working within a friendly and nurturing environment alongside ambitious staff members always on hand to help.
Your new role
Main duties will include supporting your class teacher with general day to day duties as well as supporting children with SEN. You may be asked to support students with varied needs including ASD and ADHD. You will be working with students of all ages throughout secondary school and both one to one and with group interventions.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar relevant role is vital as you will be expected to be able to use your experience to support students straight away. The ideal candidate will be patient and calm when facing the different challenges the school may throw at you. You will be able to demonstrate previous experiences where you have supported children with SEN and how you have overcome different challenges.
