Software Tester X 3 (manual & Automation)
Newton Blue is the recruitment partner for a number of the UK’s leading tech & healthcare software groups, working only on an exclusive, retained or on-site basis. We’re currently recruiting for 3 x software testers for our Dundee based tech client, one of the UK’s largest developers of front- line clinical systems and solutions within the UK healthcare sector. Their software is used in 50% of all GP practices across Scotland, with 75% of Welsh, 40% of Irish and a large number of English GP practices utilising their systems. We’re looking to recruit 3 x experienced software testers (mixed manual & automation testing) to work in an agile environment within a number of scrum teams. It’s a role which will see you working across the full software development life cycle helping to deliver new products and enhanced features for a wide range of healthcare clients. What will you be doing? Working within an agile, self-organising SCRUM team of around 5 to 8 people in different roles Participating in team meetings to plan sprint work, and discuss, understand, refine and estimate backlogs by the team’s product owner Help define acceptance criteria/test cases, reviewing and identifying gaps in test coverage Review and identify test cases with potential for automation Automate test cases where possible and work closely with the development teams Carry out explorative testing on client-side applications covering a range of platforms such as Windows Desktop, Windows 10 Store Apps, iOS, Andriod, etc. Create and maintain test environments, including desktop VMs and server-side environments It’s a great time to join as they build a new range of solutions, applications and products putting them ahead of the competition and at the forefront of the market. You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced Scrum environment and in a cross functional team, liaising with users and internal stakeholders. You’re naturally inquisitive, highly organised and have great attention to detail, keen on continually developing your skills across a range of technologies. You’ve extensive hands on experience of test driven development, test automation tools and manual testing to ensure quality throughout the process ISTQB or equivalent certification Agile environment experience Manual & Automation testing experience ….and what would make you perfect? Ex perience working with some of the following: Xamarin Test Cloud or App Center; writing Coded UI automation tests; Docker; clinical or healthcare systems; Visual Studio 2015/2017; Jenkins; Atlassian products such as BitBucket, Jira, etc. You’ll be working in a fully Agile environment in modern, open plan offices with floor to ceiling windows, break out spaces, eating and meeting areas.
