Seeking a versatile and passionate learning support assistant to work with FE students with additional needs

Your new company
Hays Education are currently working with a well established FE setting in Worcester that supports mainstream students as well as individuals with moderate learning difficulties. This Worcester based setting is well resourced and has a strong team ethos amongst the staff. They provide support to pupils across KS4 -KS5, who have a variety of Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Your new role
This job role will involve supporting a small cohort of pupils that have moderate learning difficulties and physical disabilities and will see you acting as a scribe taking lecture notes, checking and reviewing work, supporting revision sessions, providing emotional support, building confidence and self esteem. This role is working 1:1 and supporting small groups. This is a full time teaching assistant job that is due to start in September and is expected to last for the rest of the academic year with the potentiality of becoming permanent

What you'll need to succeed
To be suitable for this role you should be a passionate, outcomes focused teacher, with experience of working with children or young people with SEND, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs and/ or Autism. You will be a have a minimum of 40 days experience, in the last 2 years, of working in schools or care settings with individuals, Autsim, Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties, which can be referenced. Applicants with experience of working with SEN students at will have a significant advantage. You will be passionate about working with children/ young people to achieve the best of their potential.
