JOB PURPOSE



The Infrastructure Project Manager manages the various IT infrastructure needs of a project, along-side the delivery of internal and outsourced projects on time and within budget. This role requires solid infrastructure skills to gain credibility and manage multiple infrastructure specific workstreams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess the infrastructure specific requirements of the projects


  • Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure


  • Manage the budget and ensure limits are not breached


  • Formulate procedures and policies for optimum utilisation of IT infrastructure resources


  • Supervise other IT staff, consultants, vendors and suppliers


  • Meet with managers of different departments and assess IT infrastructure needs


  • Plan and supervise the installation of IT infrastructure


  • Establish project plan and initiate project mobilisation by confirming project scope, estimate, resources, roles and responsibilities


  • Monitor and control execution of projects though Analyse, Design, Build, Test and Release


  • Provide leadership and decision-making support by establishing project governance


  • Perform project reporting including overall performance of the programme and project completion documentation


  • Understand and interpret infrastructure and architecture standards




PERSONAL PROFILE
  • Experience within Implementation, collaboration and digital
  • Experience of working in a Shared Service Centre
  • Experience with SAP would be preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
