Network Engineer - Cisco (Switches / ASA firewalls) - Permanent - Fife Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Network Engineer for our global client based in Fife. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager you will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd line support across the organisation, dealing with escalated queries and undertaking fault diagnosis and problem resolution. Working as port of the wider network team you will also be responsible for delivery a variety of network-related projects, utilising your experience in an enterprise environment to ensure current technology is kept as up to date as possible. This role is standard day shifts (8.30am to 5.00pm) and will have an on-call element on a rota basis. Responsibilities: - Responding to escalated network support requests - Responding to escalated information security alerts - Management and administration of LAN, WAN, WLAN environments - Support and mentoring of NOC and 1st line support teams - Patching of all networking technologies - Documenting processes and procedures Essential: - Experience supporting an enterprise scale LAN / WAN environment (including TCP / IP, wireless technologies, switching, voice (VOIP)) - Experience with firewall, switching, and routing technologies - Experience with Wireless technologies - Cisco switches (3650, 3750, 2960) - Cisco ASA firewalls (55xx-X) Desirable: - Degree or HND in IT - Any formal Cisco accreditation such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDA, CCENT, CCT - Experience supporting ISDN and SIP communication environments - Experience supporting information security vulnerability remediation and alert escalation - An experience with Unifi Wireless LAN - Imperva or LogRythmn security solutions - ServiceDesk plus and OpManager
