Our client provides MI solutions across the country in the public sector, The Infrastructure Engineer is a critical role within the organisation, reporting to the organisation's Infrastructure Manager and working within a small, multi-disciplinary Infrastructure team you should be able to demonstrate strong technical networking skills alongside excellent inter-personal skills and experience of managing a broad range of ICT Infrastructure whilst operating within a dynamic environment. Youre role will provide an appropriate technical infrastructure to support the delivery of the group. This includes working with technical peers and management on the ongoing implementation, support and maintenance of all hardware and software delivered from Data Centres and the Hamilton office, the delivery of appropriate wide and local area networks, and the associated security infrastructure to protect information. The role will be a broad varied role. We are keen to speak to candidate with the following experience (essential): Network configuration and fault resolution TCP/IP, Ethernet, DNS/DHCP Cisco Switching Windows Server 2008 / 2012 Desktop Estate Management Patch Management Active Directory & Group Policy Management It would be advantageous for applicants to have knowledge and experience in some of the following areas: System Centre Components e.g. VMM SCOM SCCM Firewalls (preferably Cisco, Checkpoint) VPN Technologies Backup Exec Office 365 Centos Linux Microsoft Hyper-V (including clustering) IBM Blade / Enterprise Level SAN Technologies (preferably IBM v7000) Any experience of Amazon Web Services (AWS) would be of interest To be succesful in the role you will have the ability to manage/prioritise a multi-dimensional, dynamic work load.
