The Role
Our client is looking for a junior solicitor to join its Private Client department located in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. Taking on a caseload of matters, the successful solicitor will undertake duties including:
  • Liaising with colleagues dealing with contentious probate and charities work
  • Matters arising from family, employment and personal injury law
  • Advising on EPA and LPA
  • Probate and Court of Protection matters
  • Drafting trusts and advising on tax planning
  • Drafting of Wills
  • Administration of estates
The Candidate
You will be a solicitor with 2 – 4 years’ PQE with a demonstrably strong academic background. Other desirable attributes include:
  • Recent, quality experience within a reputable firm
  • A broad background in private client work in general
  • An analytical, problem-solving approach
  • Strong drafting skills, being focused and meticulous
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • The ability to explain complex matters to clients in language that is clear, concise and empathetic
  • STEP membership or membership of a similar professional body would be advantageous but not essential
  • A good understanding of marketing and business development is advantageous
