Maintenance Operative

About The Role
The Maintenance Operative will be working with a Morrison Utility Services Ganger / Leader to deliver dig and fix capability to the Severn Trent Water Repair and Maintenance contract.
As the Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for:
* Ensure all dig and fix works undertaken is safe and in line with Morrison Utility Services, STW procedures and industry best practice.
* Risk assessment (understands, able and follow)
* Set up site and remove site. Chapter 8.
* Appear presentable (personally and vehicle)
* Demonstrate an excellent level of customer engagement (pre site calls and in person)
* Defect / damage reporting
* Working in highways with pedestrians and live traffic.
* Maintain a clean and safe work site
* Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle and tooling
* Adhere to any relevant policies and procedures
* Escalates issues
* Support their supervisor.
* Executes all reasonable requests
Skills and Experience:
* NRSWA including Reinstatement modules
* Driving Licence including towing B,E
* Water SHEA or CSCS
* Emergency First Aid
* Manual Handling
* IT Literate
* Ability to use computer applications effectively.
Desirable:
* Water hygiene card
* Mini excavator CPCS
* Electrofusion
* Abrasive Wheels
* Thrust Boring
Will consider candidates from the surrounding areas.

The Severn Trent Contract with Morrison Utility Services started in April 2013 and will last up to nine years.

* Water Networks Repair & Maintenance
* Reinstatement
* Provision of Temporary Traffic Management
* Trunk Main Repair
