We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer to support delivery of marketing and communications activity for the Chartered College of Teaching. As a key member of the team reporting to the Head of PR and Communications, you will work on the Chartered College’s external presence across media, social media, website and multi-channel PR campaigns to raise our profile and grow our membership base. This is a new and exciting role providing an opportunity to develop your communications experience. The right candidate will be able to make their mark and have a real impact on the Chartered College of Teaching’s success. The Marketing and Communications Officer will be responsible for developing communication and marketing materials, while supporting PR activity for the Chartered College . The role will collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns and make subsequent recommendations. Main Responsibilities Contribute to the College’s PR and marketing campaigns Support the Head of PR and Communications to manage the College’s social media accounts Contribute to the College’s communications and marketing campaigns Produce engaging, segmented, le-campaigns including A/B testing Work with the Head of PR and Communications to research, write and distribute media releases Write web copy, manage the updating of the College’s website, and ensure the website is SEO optimised Develop and implement organisation brand guidelines, monitoring and providing feedback to wider team to ensure brand consistency Coordinate lead generation campaigns across the College’s website, social media channels and partner organisations Create monthly marketing reports to look at return on investment on the College’s marketing activities Provide clear communication briefs to the graphic designers Work alongside external graphic designers to ensure agreed outcomes are met Collect quantative and qualitatative data from marketing campagns, analyse and present the data effectively Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. direct mail and digital) Manage the College’s Google Ads and google analytics to ensure the College is maximising activity Distribute marketing materials to the College’s members and advocates, through digital and print campaigns Skills and Experience required Educated to degree level Strong working knowledge of social media tools and techniques Recognised qualification in communications or marketing (or working towards this) or equivalent experience Good working knowledge of the MS Office Suite Some HTML knowledge (desirable) Dotmailer and/or Salesforce experience (desirable) Wordpress experience (highly desirable) Google Ads, Google analytics and SEO experience (desirable) Skills/Characteristics Exceptional written skills Strong attention to detail Strong proofreading and editing skills Highly effective organisational skills, with ability to manage a varied workload Calm and resilient, with ability to work well under pressure Ability to interpret stakeholders needs and present and explain ideas / solutions back to them and others Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Creative
