Job Description/Overview SHI UK has an exciting opportunity available as a Microsoft Licensing Executive to support our expanding UK sales teams. This is a customer facing pre-sales engagement role providing front line support for our Account Executives and customers, helping determine the best Microsoft solution for their business needs. Joining a team of Microsoft experts supporting business throughout the EU-EFTA region you will possess a strong understanding of Microsoft on-premise and cloud solutions, data centre and client licensing, outsourcer licensing and all Microsoft’s volume licensing programs. You will be confident working across all sales teams driving both new business sales and existing customer growth. Responsibilities/Job Function • Act as Customer Facing Licensing Solutions Consultant • Compile, evaluate and review complex Microsoft proposals/amendments • Supporting the Account Executive in driving & executing net new Microsoft Agreements • Executing On-Time Renewals and True-ups for existing SHI customers • Interpret Microsoft volume license contracts for customers/prospects • Provide effective cost analysis and detail programmatic benefits across all licensing vehicles • Assist Account Executives with SHI’s Agreement Optimisation Plan (T-36) • Educate the sales teams on Microsoft programs and best practices to maximize understanding of sales messages to drive increased Microsoft revenue • Develop and implement both company-wide and client facing webinars geared toward the latest changes in Microsoft licensing, products, and programs • The ability to position additional services offered by SHI and/or our Partners as part of the wider solution sale (e.g. deployment, adoption, ITAM) • The role will require collaboration across various local and international teams (Mobility, Advanced Solutions, ITAM, services partners etc) so a willingness to look beyond your immediate remit is vital • Create and deliver regular training to new and existing sales floor • Working alongside the account exec in managing and progressing opportunities to closure • Pipeline management & reporting • Work closely with internal licensing & operations counterparts in support of new opportunities and existing customers requirements • Self-motivated you will be expected to continually engage in live and self-paced training to expand and strengthen product, licensing, program and services knowledge Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products, solutions, and volume licensing programs. • Experienced with selling information technology products, services and/or solutions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • An understanding of on premise, cloud and hybrid environments with a focus on Office365 and Azure • Able to articulate a clear understanding of Microsoft technologies and how they relate to business needs. • Ability to work in a fast paced, high workload environment. • Ability to work effectively within a virtual team environment • The ability to convey complex themes in an easy to understand manner • Confident presenting up to C-Level • Drive for results - the ability to translate strategies and plans into winning local action Certifications Required Microsoft MCP qualification 70-705 Designing and providing Microsoft Licensing Solutions to Large Organisations (Preferred) or 74-678 with a commitment to obtain 70-705 within first 3 months in role
