Due to continued success and growth, we are now looking to recruit a Financial Controller for our team in Taunton, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Financial Controller Role: Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Controller will ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth, as well as the financial planning and analysis of company. Responsibilities will also include: Contributing fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business. Reporting and production of the management information together with commentary and analysis of performance, production of the annual budget and regular forecast updates. Establishing a high level of credibility and managing strong working relationships with internal and external parties. Enduring robust financial governance, including ensuring balance sheet integrity and robust financial control. Production of the annual budget and regular forecast updates throughout the financial year.. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Ensuring cash collections, credit management and query management are efficiently managed. To ensure that financial policies, procedures and controls are effective throughout the business. Work with Pennon group team to ensure risk management procedures are implemented across Viridor and that significant risks are monitored and addressed on a regular basis . Gain business alignment across multiple business areas to successfully identify and understand business strategy, providing high level insight into business performance. Ensure that strong financial controls and reconciliations are performed regularly, diligently reviewed and approved within the role's responsibilities. Our ideal Financial Controller will have: To be successful in this position, you must have good knowledge of Management Accounting and Business Analysis, alongside a thorough knowledge of Excel and Business reporting systems.
