A fantastic opportunity has arisen for multiple deskside engineers to join well established blue chip organisation based at their prestigious offices in London

This contract will run for 6 months with likely extension.

As a Desktop Support engineer you will have the following skills and experience:

Provide user support related to access, laptops, local printers, network etc
? Install, troubleshoot and repair desktop/laptop issues (both hardware/ software)
? Install Standard SOE Image on Desktops and Laptops.
? Install, configure and troubleshoot standard applications (MS office, Adobe, etc.)
? Configure and troubleshoot Smart phones, tablets and other mobile devices
? Provide assistance to remote server team on Server OS and server hardware
? Server hardware racking and stacking
? Basic troubleshooting of Data network/ Telephony devices/ Projectors/ Meeting room facilitation.
? Basic troubleshooting of LAN/ WAN/ Backup-restore/Printers
? Should provide remote assistance to branch office technician for troubleshooting end user computing related issues
? Provide technical assistance and training to end users on computer operating systems and Standard applications.
? Instruct and assist end users in the use of computer equipment, software and accessories.
? Ability to Evaluate and test new technology for feasibility and implementation within IT Environment.
? Document all support activity within the IT Incident and Change Management tracking tool.
? Coordinate efforts with 3rd party vendors to repair faulty hardware.
? Customer escalation handling
? Physical move of asset between IT stock location.

Key Skills

* Strong 2nd line technical skills
* Written and Verbal Communications
* Process Documentation
* This role requires strong IT Customer Service skills, and proven experience in this area is required

Essential Technical Skills

* Windows 7 and 10 experience
* Bitlocker encryption
* SCCM (use of for deployment of Operating Systems and Applications)
* Software and Application Troubleshooting
* Experience working with a ticketing system and SLAs.
* Strong experience in Desktop/ Laptop hardware (mainly HP) troubleshooting
* Basic knowledge of Server OS and Server hardware (mainly HP) troubleshooting
* Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange servers
* Basic knowledge of backup tape/ tape library systems
* ITSM tools, specifically Service Now
* MAC in the enterprise experience

Some OSX/Mac experience also helpful.
