Harvey Nash is looking for an International Sales Director to join a high growth, pioneering technology solutions organisation in the East Midlands. The business is on an impressive growth curve due to the innovative software products and solutions that they are producing. This would suit an individual who is looking to take the first step into International level management and kick-start their career. The critical hiring decision for this role will be on your personality attributes and potential. You will be someone who is not conventional, you will have Spark, energy and enthusiasm and have the drive to make large scale change and decisions across the international sales footprint.

Reporting into the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for developing the organisation's approach to winning new business and developing new accounts across international markets. Due to the nature and complexity of the technology and technological solutions that the business offers its customers, it is imperative that your approach to sales is consultative and focused. Whilst this role is focusing on international growth, travel will be limited due to the long product development process and sales cycle so if you are looking for the excitement of an international role but don't want to be travelling all the time this could be an excellent opportunity for you to consider.

The main focus of this role will be to set the international sales strategy for the organisation which will involve everything from research and development and targeting of specific international markets through to building the brand presence, building networks, forming relationships and ultimately selling the technology solution to enterprise level organisations globally. This is a true international start up, you have a very successful UK blueprint to use however and a large part of your strategy will involve using this UK success and replicating it globally into strategically aligned international markets.

It would be advantageous if you had software or other IT/technology and digital solutions experience but it is not a prerequisite, however, technological understanding and an enthusiasm for technology and technological change and transformation is a must for this role. You will be the face of the business so you will be someone who can demonstrate a strong track record of building relationships, winning new business and developing business from within existing accounts. You will have operated with senior boards and will be well versed in dealing with complex sales cycles and negotiations. International experience is not a pre requisite but experience of working within a small to medium size enterprise is.
