The Technical Service Manager Role
We are looking to appoint a talented and professional Technical Service Manager with experience of innovation within the food industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with our customers to develop a trusted relationship throughout the full life cycle of Ozo systems being introduced to their environment. You will support our customers to identify key areas of risk for early remedial actions; as well as provide recommendations for improvements. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of smarter and more sustainable food safety and hygiene solutions.

Provide technical on-site support throughout the full customer life cycle i.e. from supporting the operations team to conduct effective trials; leading the transition to live service and on-going support;
Establish baseline performance metrics which will demonstrate the effectiveness and cost efficiencies of Ozo’ Product;
Perform on-site customer evaluations to assess the impact of change to the customer environment and produce and execute hygiene risk reduction strategies;
Partner with customer to optimise manufacturing hygiene standards and ensure performance is sustainable through clear documented systems, trained staff and systematic controls;
Troubleshoot customer issues, conduct hygiene investigations and make recommendations to the development of the hygiene management system;
Provide food safety standards education and training to customers, including the preparation of training materials and update of customer specific web portals;
Support customer in the production and maintenance of detailed cleaning instructions and schedules for all hygiene activity within Ozo’s remit which meet the requirements of the BRC;
Complete on-site audits to include; cleaning methodology and effectiveness, chemical safety and post hygiene inspection;
Engage with key customer stakeholders to develop and grow the relationship;
Provide quality data for comprehensive customised reports to ensure their expectations/KPI’s are met.

Requirements for the Technical Service Manager Role

Detailed working knowledge of a HACCP environment;
Strong experience of technical management within a food manufacturing environment;
Have strong commercial judgement to deliver complex hygiene solutions;
Experience in a retail standards and audit environments e.g. Tesco’s, BRC;
Demonstrable experience of troubleshooting and solution provision;
Proven experience in managing change;
The ability to teach, coach and provide constructive feedback;
Flexible approach to working as some weekend work may be required.
