KRAFT Recruitment are currently recruiting due to their client’s expansion, an experienced controls engineer or recent graduate to join their team in West Yorkshire. Our client has an excellent reputation providing Electrical and Software based Control Systems and offers a full range of solutions including, Electrical Design, Software Engineering, Control Panel Manufacturing, Installation & commissioning, Bespoke Products & Services, Covering a wide and diverse range of industries.

Controls Engineer role:

The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and the Senior Controls Engineer. Be responsible the design of electrical systems to control processes and machinery & develop necessary control software. You will manage various projects ensuring compliance with design specifications & contractual arrangements. Recommend optimum equipment & layout & prepare drawings and specifications. Undertake R&D projects to increase operational efficiency & cost reduction. Responsible for compliance with relevant regulations, specifications H&S and production of RAMS. Design & develop Software programs for PLC, HMI, SCADA efficiently & effectively. Ensure that manufacture and operations comply with design specifications & contractual arrangements. Organise & establish control systems to monitor the performance & safety of electrical systems. Identify new technical opportunities for my client where applicable.

Controls Engineer requirement:

* Educated to a relevant engineering discipline HNC or degree level would be beneficial

* Experience of a wide range of control system engineering disciplines

* Proven ability to manage small to medium sized teams

* Proven ability to develop others

* Background of managing production where the highest standards of quality are required

* Experience of producing high quality products in the most efficient manner to provide a competitive advantage to the Company

* You will be aware of all the technical requirements of each project and be responsible for ensuring these are fulfilled whilst demonstrating great attention to detail

* Have a positive approach to new challenges and be an effective problem solver

* Experience and willingness to work overseas occasionally would be an advantage

Controls Engineer package:

Salary £25k - £35k dependant on experience
