This role is part of the IT Infrastructure team responsible for the on-going development (project work). The role holder will use their technical knowledge to design (working closely with the Infrastructure Architect), maintain and improve the Infrastructure Systems across all sites/stores.


Provide technical assistance in the project delivery of IT Infrastructure solutions in response to business need.

·Create and manage a time schedule for the projects that you are assigned to and manage your schedule effectively to ensure Project Managers and their projects expectations are managed and any conflicts escalated and resolved.

·Provide early life support to projects/systems (where required) as they enter the production environment

·Ensure that the organisation remains compliant with all security, data protection and card compliance standards and obligations.

·Obtain a good overall understanding of the clients systems and their interaction with the business, to enable the users and systems to be as efficient as possible.

·Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents/problems from the Infrastructure Support Specialists when required.

·Implement all change requests in accordance with the Change Management Process.

·Perform regular releases on the clients/Store infrastructure as required (eCommerce releases etc.)

Essential Skills:

·At least 7-10 years’ experience supporting a fast moving, enterprise level IT Infrastructure environment.

·Demonstrable knowledge of the following technologies - MS Windows Server 2003-2016, MS Client Operating Systems (W10), MS Exchange Server 2013/2013, O365

·At least 2 of the following - Cisco Networking, VMWare/Hyper V, eCommerce Technologies (Akamai, F5, IIS), Powershell/.Net/vbScript

·Be an innovative and positive team player who is prepared to challenge the status quo. Having a ‘Can do’ attitude.

The candidate must be available to start ASAP.

Information Security

This position is within the defined scope of Plan-Net’s Information Security Management System (ISMS). The post holder is responsible for being at all times compliant with Plan-Net’s Information Security Policy and all other policies, processes and documentation which relates to information security within the Company as outlined in the Plan-Net Staff Manual.
