Our client is a successful sub contract electronics manufacturing and product design company, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electronics Production Manager to manage their growing business in day to day manufacturing operations efficiently and profitably.
The ideal candidate will be a good all rounder as my client is a small growing business. The ideal candidate is someone who is prepared to get involved and go the extra mile. Part of the role will be the assembly of electronic and electrical products so experience in this area is essential.  You will have the ability to use your own initiative, think on your feet and solve problems this is vital. The role will report directly to the Director and you will need to hit the ground running. There are excellent long term prospects for the right candidate and salary will be directly linked to performance.
Must have own transport due to the location of the business. Excellent written English skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Assembly of electronic and non electronic products.
Liaise with customers and oversee the orders from start to finish.
Schedule production runs, manage production staff and ensure appropriate staff available.
Production staff training to ensure all staff are competent in the assembly of all products.
Ensure all production work is efficient, profitable and to deadlines.
Manage incoming stock and component stock levels and order new stock when necessary.
Materials planning using computerized systems.
Book new orders onto MRP system and update system from receiving initial order through to delivery of finished goods.
Resolve any customer problems & answer incoming calls if needed.
Understand the production process and be willing to help out where necessary in the business.
Arrange shipping and delivery of finished products via couriers.
Occasionally may need to deliver products in company van.
Writing technical procedures and instruction booklets when required.
Managing ISO9001 quality certification.
Key holder so must be able to unlock the building at 8am every day.

To be successful in this role you will have most if not all of the following skills and experience
Â
Background in manufacturing preferably electronics.
Soldering and electrical/electronics assembly skills.
Knowledge of electronic & electrical components.
Customer relationship experience as you will be the main point of contact for our customers.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects at once.
Knowledge of costing projects.
IT skills as you will be using MRP to log jobs and record activity.
Strong written English skills as you will be writing technical procedures and instruction booklets for products.
Ability to read technical drawings.
CAD experience - ideally with Solidworks preferred.
Supervisory experience.
Clean driving licence.

Hours - 40 hrs week
Mon - Thurs: 8am - 5pm
Fri: 8am - 2:30pm
