Purchase Ledger Clerk, Whiteley - £23k

The Role

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our thriving energy client based out of their HQ in Whiteley. With prior Purchase Ledger experience preferable, the candidate will have various key responsibilities to be completed on a day to day basis

Key Responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the ledger
  • Matching of supplier invoices against purchase orders and posting on to the ledger
  • Entering invoices in query into the system with appropriate query type
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • General clerical and administrative duties for the finance department as required
  • Query Chasing and Resolution
  • Organise supplier payment runs for allocated accounts




Your Profile

The successful candidate will have experience working in a high-volume purchase ledger environment. Further knowledge of the energy sector would be beneficial for the applicant.

Confident communication skills are also required, as some parts of the role may take a customer-facing aspect at times, meaning a high level of service must be provided.

Willingness to jump straight into the role shall be expected of the successful candidate, training will of course be provided in the early stages in terms of company process, yet key responsibilities are to be completed effectively shortly after the start date

Salary and Benefits

The client is offering a negotiable £23k per annum salary, with benefits including on site parking, pension scheme and an exciting progression structure.
