Working on behalf of our client, we are seeking a Sales Ledger Assistant to help support a small but friendly finance team. This role is suitable for candidates who are looking to gain experience within their first or second accounts position and who are either part way or full AAT qualified.
Start: ASAP
Location: Outskirts of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Hours: 8.30am – 17.00pm (although complete flexibility is offered)
Duration: 6 months contract (with potential to be extended)
Salary: £18,000 - £24,000, dependant on experience
Benefits: Training supported, pension scheme and flexible working hours
The role requires someone who has had previous experience within a sales ledger position and is looking to further their skills. You will have advanced knowledge of Excel and ideally Netsuite experience but this is not essential.
Duties may include:
* Process transactions for sales ledger to include invoices, receipts and credit notes
* Processing journals for month end
* Chasing outstanding debts
* Deal with any uncollected debts in a professional manner
* Be part of the Netsuite project team where you will attend training and planning sessions
* Supporting the department and director with any finance and admin duties
Desired experience, skills and qualifications:
* Use of NetSuite (desirable)
* Advanced MS Excel Skills – Essential
* Good communication skills both written and verbally
* 18 months accounting experience
* Part Qualified (desirable)
* MUST have a UK driving licence
