Back End Developers x 2 range to £50,000 start salary .. Flexi time and option of home working one day a week ...Our client based in Bridgwater , Somerset right next to the M5 junction and commutable from Bristol or Exeter is growing and need 2 more skilled and enthusiastic Back End Software Developers to join their Software Development Team!

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and exciting department in an expanding , award winning business . They have retail shops / trade counters , warehouses spanning the UK and Netherlands and throughout Europe and beyond with lots more plans in action for future growth

They have grown from a startup with a couple of people in 2003 to employing over 2500 in 2017.

From an IT perspective they are unique. All the software that runs the company is developed and maintained in-house. Using open-source technologies, everything from their consumer website, shop tills, to warehouse stock control has been created from the ground up. The IT team currently totals 25 people spanning software development, system administration and technical support.

What theyre looking for :


·A real interest in keeping up to date with the latest in development; languages, methodologies, standards and everything else.

Fresh graduate or experienced and self-taught; it doesn't matter if you possess the following key skills:

Essential skills:

PHP, PHPUnit , MySQL, Git, Linux/UNIX experience 3+ years of experience building web applications Effective time management Able to work to tight deadlines.

Desirable skills:

Laravel, jQuery, CSS ,Web standards, REST, Other developing internet/web/scripting languages (i.e. Ruby, Python)

Key Responsibilities:

Scope solutions for the business system in line with business requirements. Write, test and implement software solutions. Deliver solutions within project timescales. Communicate and feedback progress to project management. Participate in peer code reviews. Help maintain a clean and efficient workflow. Contribute to the ongoing optimisation of our software development process and practices.

This role is a 40 hour per week full time position, based in the Head Office in Bridgwater.

Salary is dependent on experience
