Application Support Analyst Key Skills: SQL knowledge - backups and restores in SQL as well as perform SQL scripting SQL report writing Customer service skills. Prior experience in software implementation/support desk activities. Excellent communication and people skills whether face to face, over the telephone, or in writing. Aptitude for quick learning. Logical approach to problem solving and analytical thinking. Desirable: A background in Quality Assurance would be advantageous Technical exposure to ERP systems The role: Our client is a successful growing business in Derby working with customers all over the world that use their excellent software products. The team that this position sits on is responsible for developing customer reports in SQL and working with the clients over the phone to ensure their needs are met. When dealing with customers, queries must always be logged in the internal systems. Throughout your time as a Customer Support Analyst, you will need to ensure your product and market knowledge is kept up to date to make sure all advice given is first-rate. You may also be involved in other duties as directed by your line manager.
