Our client is looking for an experienced early years practitioner / room leader to join a great team at their friendly setting in the Horley / Gatwick area.

They are looking for a fun, enthusiastic and hard-working professional team player help the Management team looking after one of their lovely rooms:

Main Duties:

● To work under the direction of the manager and deputy manager and step up into the deputy position in the absence of either the manager or deputy when required

● To support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist both the manager and the deputy in the organisation of high​ quality establishment for the children from birth to five years

● To supervise the team effectively to provide high standard of care and early learning ​ to include the monitoring and review of provision, this includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the personal, emotional, social and educational development of the children through individual attention and group activities

● To support the team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all the individual children can play, learn and develop

● To direct and support the staff as agreed by the manager and the deputy

● To ensure that all staff members take their breaks as required in line with company policy and that the delegation of tasks is done in a fair manner to all staff

● To ensure that all staff are aware of their areas of responsibility and to be able to clearly demonstrate an awareness of own areas of responsibility and how these are being met


* Motivated, enthusiastic & energetic

* Passionate about childcare

* Minimum Level 3 qualified in childcare

* Experienced in a nursery setting

* Able to display excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS

* Fluent in written and spoken English

* Punctual and reliable

* Able to display great interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
