Head Land Rights Officer required for a busy and popular department within a large successful company with a fantastic local reputation. The main purpose of this role is oversee the crucial legal and administration processes associated to the acquisition of land rights.

Starting salary £23,000-£25,000 depending on experience, to rise with progression.

Main duties:

Liaising with in-house solicitors, developers, external solicitors and Wayleave Officers to ensure smooth and fast negotiations
Agreeing processes with commercial solicitors, securing authorised signatories, and managing subsequent correspondence
Proactively forecasting potential delays and implementing contingency plans
Supporting the rest of the team throughout conveyancing stages
Challenging providers where necessary
Maintaining professional relationships with customers and providers
Authorising invoice payments
Producing and analysing relevant statistical reports

Qualifications and experience required:

Working knowledge of the law relating to the utilities industry in respect of land rights
Knowledge of land rights acquisition procedures and standard terms
Relevant experience working in a similar role
Sufficient understanding of Land Registry input and relevant requirements
