An innovative business based in Hemel Hempstead are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their busy and vibrant finance department.

The main purpose of the role is to act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, acting as business partner to the managed service business and taking ownership of the managed service P&L including commentary. You will also be assisting with product reporting and overseeing the ledgers and accuracy of financial records.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

Ownership of the Managed Service P&L, including commentary by client each period/month.
Ownership of associated balance sheet accounts, reconciled each period to SOX standards.
Run the monthly Managed Service meeting with department heads, supporting the business with analysis and data to enable rapid and accurate decision making
Support the Product team during the periodic close with ad hoc analysis.
To act as the principle contact for Managed Service external and internal audit requests.
To ensure compliance with all controls and maintain a culture of continual improvement with a focus on data integrity and efficiency.
To proactively provide all internal customers with analysis and support, with a focus on exceeding expectations
To proactively support the business departments and colleagues with finance issues.
Development of effective reports and analysis to ensure accurate measurement against performance KPIs.
To provide information for the completion of budgets and forecasts, and to provide insights against these based on performance.

Proactively review and work within company policies, standard operating procedures, company and legislative updates to ensure you are working in line with best practice and business risk is minimised

The skills and experience required for this role are as follows:

ACA, ACCA or CIMA Part Qualified
A clear understanding of IFRS
Experience of working in a fastpaced changing environment
Excellent communicator across all mediums and levels of stakeholder
Ability to explain finance concepts to staff with a nonfinance background
Strong understanding of revenue recognition accounting concepts
Understanding of deferred revenue and cost accruals
Adept in the use of MS office, with intermediate excel skills (Pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs etc.)
Good understanding of ERP/Finance systems and can navigate within systems quickly
Outstanding interpersonal skills
A motivated selfstarter with a proven track record of delivering and proactivity
Strong time management skills
Passionate about exceeding expectations
Inquisitive and diligent
Experience of internal and external audit desirable

This role is paying £38£40k plus Study Support, along with various other excellent benefits.
