We are an established design practice within Tesco Bank, helping people with banking and insurance services across mobile, web and over the phone. We’re a passionate bunch of designers, taking pride in every design decision, crafting experiences that help to serve our customers a little better every day. We believe that an ever evolving human-centred design process is key to great design and innovation. Developing strategy and intent through research and applying it to every detail from information architectures, interaction design and visual design, to craft amazing experiences. We support each other as a team, working together to improve our work through regular critiques, design jams and hack-a-thons. WHO ARE YOU? You’re a designer that has a strong background in design and have experience taking research and applying it to your work. You’ll be able to communicate your work through design documentation such as design briefs, interaction specs and design patterns to clearly communicate the intended customer experience, interaction and visual design requirements. You’re curious, knowing how to ask questions and seek out opportunities to learn new skills. We’re looking for people with resilience, drive and a tenacity for improving their breadth of skills and knowledge, so they can create experiences that will standout in a overcrowded financial marketplace and show people what the future of banking should be. KEY SKILLS and EXPERIENCE UX or Service design and the production of design artefacts including wireframing, interactive prototyping, usability, information architecture, journey mapping. Understanding of front-end/UI technical development, and Agile software development life cycle. Analysing and drawing relevant insights from data, design research, existing best practice, usability testing and optimisation to inform design solutions. Working with a range of stakeholders to communicate and validate design solutions. Defining a design approach with support from senior colleagues. Planning personal capacity and managing workload to avoid project conflicts. Degree in relevant field such as Service Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Digital Design, Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors and Behavioural Psychology. Experience in a UX Design role with an emphasis on designing experiences that are visually engaging, while addressing customer and business needs.
