Technical Support Engineer - Global Software House
Paddington or Reading

We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide enterprise level support to our customers and partners across the EMEA region. You would be working with a huge global organisation that work with clients in the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 list. This rapidly growing software house work closely with customers in over 110 countries, providing clients the ability to harness the power of machine data for application management, IT operations, infrastructure management, cybersecurity and more.

This is a very dynamic role where you will provide technical assistance, fix and resolve customer problems, collaborate with engineering on various product issues, and contribute to projects revolving around support tools, knowledge management, our growing market place of solutions and more.

Responsibilities

- You would be working directly with customers and partners to provide Enterprise Level Support.
- Respond to and follow up on our client’s product related issues.
- Fix technical issues to establish the root cause of problems and form a solution or workaround across a range of environments.
- Provide documentation and participate in online forum support for real-time questions.
- You will Reproduce customer issues and if necessary file bug reports, advance cases to engineering, and provide necessary documentation.
- Providing outstanding customer service and technical support to our clients and maintaining customer relationships.

Skills required

- Strong Experience in: UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX), LDAP, Windows, and Mac OS X.
- Good Enterprise Application Support experience in Cloud or On Prem environments.
- Experience in a Technical Support or Service Engineer capacity.
- An understanding of Relational Databases.
- Works well as part of a team and contributes to continuous improvement.
- Outstanding verbal/written communication skills, and relationship building capabilities.
- Passionate about technology with a strong desire to work in a fast paced technical environment.
- Working in a dynamic technical environment.

Desirable skills; Nice to have: Python, Shell Script, Perl, C++/C#/Java, HTML, XML, JSON, Regex
