Technical Scrum Master
You will be joining a new development team based in Central Birmingham. Up to now all development has been completed by an offshore development team, however this is now being brought in house. The right develop will be orchestrating and facilitating the development team which provides market knowledge for media businesses. They need a Development Manager to be responsible for the product delivery across multiple technology stacks, including mobile and cloud service layers. The right Product and Development Manager will need strong technical skills as well as strong leadership skills as the role will involve managing and orchestrating a new team (Android, Python, iOS Developers, DevOps and Testers), undertaking Scrum Master responsibilities. As this is a new team within a well-funded technology start-up which has spun out of Oxford University, there is a great opportunity to define and implement the development processes. Ideally we need someone who has run a cross functional development team (ideally with Mobile), is a certified Scrum Master (or has previous experience with Scrum) and has worked with CI, Cloud (AWS ideally) had has demonstrable experience of taking a product from development to delivery and support. Although this company is relatively new, this business does differ from traditional start-ups as they have a years of experience within this industry which has been made up with their senior management team. The company are initially looking to build a team of 6 within the in house development team, but are aiming to triple in size by the end of 2019. As this is a new development team you will need to be a self-starter with strong organisation skills and high attention to detail. The core of this business is the application that they build, therefore they are looking for individuals that are driven by technology and keen to work with emerging technologies. Required Experience Experienced Technical Scrum Master Experience working with cross-functional teams (mobile, cloud, devops and test) Experience mentoring and working with development teams on technical problems. Previous experience in line management of teams Ability to promote best practices in engineering and software release strategy Ability to create and implement development processes, engineering standards. Ability to uphold product quality Experience in taking a product from development, through delivery to live production and supporting clients. Excellent communication skills Passionate about technology Self-starter with great organisational skills The company are looking to pay up to £80,000 for the right candidate and offer a flexible working hours, a completive salary in a central Birmingham location.
