Working with customers to scope the learning project Taking responsibility for developing and implementing a learning strategy and developing instructional design concepts to meet the strategy Researching content and structuring that content to meet a customer’s brief Drawing upon different instructional design methodologies to storyboard the learning experience Using a range of different authoring tools to support the storybuilding and content-building process, e.g. Storyline Designing content that is educationally and pedagogically sound Supporting and working alongside designers in content-building and development Taking individual responsibility for reviewing work, and suggesting methods of self-improvement if required Sharing best practice across the content development team Regularly showcasing work to other instructional designers for input, feedback and suggested improvements Keeping up to date with new and emerging technologies and methodologies in e-learning and instructional design What skills and experience we are looking for Essential: Experience in using authoring tools to support the instructional design and content build process e.g. such as Storyline 2 and 360 Experience in using Microsoft Office products to a proficient level Experience in using other management software to log and track workflow Experience in working to deadlines Experience of working in a collaborative environment Experience of liaising with subject matter experts and customers High level of written English Attention to detail Desirable: Experience of a broader range of authoring tools such as Captivate and Lectora Experience of using other education technologies such as screen recording tools Experience of other specialist areas such as gamification Relevant qualification in Instructional Design or e-learning.
