**New role** 2nd Line Support Analyst - £25,000 - Cheltenham

I am currently seeking a 2nd Line Support Analyst to work for a nationally recognised brand with a large office in Cheltenham .

The successful candidate will provide 2nd Line support on all queries from this office as well as handling queries from other offices in the South West. You will be dealing with both phone based and face to face issues, to a network of internal customers. If you cannot solve the issue, you will ensure it is escalated to the 3rd Line Engineers. You will be required to be aware of and stick to the Service Level Agreement, and ensure that you do all in your power to meet these service levels.

You will be responsible for reacting to queries and deciding which is the most vital to be done first. You will provide support and work on a variety of tasks across IT on a daily basis. You will work on and fix server operating system faults, and you will be heavily involved in desktop support of printers, workstations and laptops. In addition to this, you will work on the management of the LAN and WAN networks, and you will also be heavily involved in server support. It is vital you have excellent customer service skills and be strong technically, as you will be dealing majorly with non-technical persons.

Experience of supporting some or all of the following technologies is required:

- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Exchange queries
- Windows O/S
- Printer and scanner fixes
- 2nd Line IT Support
- Application support
- Helpdesk or Service Desk experience in a phone based environment

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential prerequisites of this role, as you will be the sole IT person on site. The organisation will happily look at both a strong 2nd line engineer as well as a candidate who has excellent 1st line and service desk skills in the above technical areas who is looking to take a step into a 2nd line position.
