As part of an already existing team, you'll need to adopt their ways of working, whilst also applying your own methods of practice to your daily tasks. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who enjoys new challenges and wants to take their career a step further.

You'll be responsible for organising and managing your time to ensure your patients receive the best level of care from you.

To be considered for this Adult Disability Service Team Leader role, you'll be self-motivated and driven to provide a standard of patient care that is second to none. You'll have excellent time management and organisational skill, along with a confident and approachable personality.

As this role deals directly with patients from a range of backgrounds, you'll find it easy to communicate with a variety of people and have high levels of patience, especially when working under pressure.

The post holder is a member of the adult disability service that supports people with a learning disability and can be based in a variety of settings including residential homes, supported living, short break service and the outreach team.

Staff are required to work a shift system that offers support 24 hours a day.

Staff are involved in all aspects of maintaining the area using the active support model, this may include cleaning, shopping, washing ironing, cooking etc. Service users will be encouraged to participate in these activities with the staff.

Staff are expected to hold a driving licence and be prepared to drive service vehicles. The Manager can apply a level of flexibility with this requirement.

Band 5 staff are expected to be able to co-ordinate and lead a team within the service, and also develop and implement programmes of care and support.We offer a full relocation package which includes interview and relocation travel, this is in addition to our competitive pay, annual bonus and our additional bonus scheme of £3,000, payable after two and four years.Furthermore we offer subsidised accommodation for those travelling to the Island alone, and an 8 year employment permit for those wishing to bring a partner or family.
