Applications Support Officer
Job Vacancy This is an exciting opportunity to build your software/applications knowledge and experience, working with services across the whole council. Based in Midlothian House as part of the Business Applications Team within Business Services, you will provide support for staff utilising a number of Council systems and applications including: Talentlink (Recruitment portal) ITrent (HR/Payroll system) You will support the implementation, operation and ongoing development of Council systems/applications and associated business processes. You will deliver training to system users as required and ensure that any required periodic processing and production of reports is completed accurately and according to timetables. Essential: Jobholders must be educated to SVQ level 3/ in a relevant subject such as HNC Information Technology, Information Management, Business Information Systems, or evidence of equivalent competency along with evidence of numeracy and literacy at Higher Grade. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential: Evidence of advanced MS Excel skills. Evidence developed interpersonal skills to agree and implement changes in procedures. An understanding of the relevant legislation associated with the protection and retention of information. Desirable: Evidence of the ability to produce and manipulate data for a variety of uses using various query and reporting tools. Previous Systems Administration experience including the provision of helpdesk service to colleagues and other stakeholders Experience of the delivery of staff training. Experience in the design and production of training/procedural/guidance documentation. Based on you working 25 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £15,288.74 per annum.
