Team Leader Hours: 37 hrs per week, 40 weeks a year (Term time only) Salary: £19,328 - £21,057 pa fte (actual £17,593 - £19,167 pa) Shipley The Role: Shipley College is situated in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire and is committed to high standards, encouraging staff and students to do their best and to aim high. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our group of Team Leaders, working for the Head of Learning Support, leading a team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to deliver effective additional learning support to our learners. We are looking for a committed and motivated individual who is willing to go that extra mile to help others as well as having an understanding of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice in a Further Education setting. Main Duties: To lead and coordinate a team of LSAs To be the main point of contact for staff in the designated sector(s) in relation to Additional Learning Support (ALS) To carry out related administrative and clerical duties at all stages of the learner journey To chair EHCP meetings in order to meet statutory deadlines To provide support to meet the needs of learners identified with SEND To promote independence within the learners Closing Date: Wednesday 26th September 2018 - 12 noon Interview Date: Anticipated Wednesday 3rd October 2018 Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks) Shipley College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
