cer Financial are working closely with a Pension business based in London, who are looking to hire a Assistant Management Accountant to join their Financial team

To be successful for this role you must be part qualified as CCAB or equivalent as well as at least 3 years relevant finance experience

Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant will be:

Managing profit and loss accounts as well as analysing and identifying patterns of miscoding and providing solutions
Supporting the team as well as providing management within fluctuations in workload and prioritising meeting deadlines.
Accounting for drafting monthly management reports for Head of Management reporting as well as reviewing and challenging with executive committee members
Collaborating and communicating closely within management reporting and FP&A colleagues ensuring they deliver all team objectives
Frequently updating the internal recharge model and reviewing the built-in assumptions regularly
Supporting the business’ equality programme both internally and externally as well as other corporate policies
Regularly monitoring performance and budget variances as well as providing analysis
Reconciling between prior year expenditure and year to date costs as well as enabling all senior colleagues and budget holders will be challenging the draft budget

The Successful Assistant Management Accountant will have:

A qualification as part qualified accountant CCAB or equivalent
3 years of experience in a finance function
A Strong understanding of financial systems and controls
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to support and challenge the current position
Some understanding of the breadth of the diversity agenda including embedding good practice and an understanding of LPP and the public sector’s commitment
A confident approach to handling and interpreting complex numerical data and presenting in a clear and concise manner
The ability to support the team in managing fluctuations of workload and prioritising to meet deadlines
