Our client, in Leeds, is a highly successful commercial organisation embracing some fantastic challenges as it goes through digital transformation and assesses how it engages with its current client and supplier base. As a result, the Head of Finance needs to recruit a commercial, and technically-skilled, Finance Business Partner to support them and the CIO in driving division performance.


The Finance team has responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the business, ensuring appropriate controls and governance measures are in place to minimise risk as well as providing in depth and insightful management reporting to drive business decisions.

Further to the above, the Finance team is core to the delivery of strategic change, providing appropriate business partnering support to business leaders and managers as and when required.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role is pivotal to ensuring the leaders of organisation have the visibility, commercial insight and support that they need to execute the group strategy. The role will also hold responsibility for treasury management, an area that the business sees as an opportunity for improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support business leaders from a strategic perspective. The role offers wide scope as part of a large finance team that is fast paced and seeking continual improvement.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day finance support of the Board and Corporate Service leadership team, including but not limited to month end accounting, monthly/ annual and long range planning, business partnering and supporting the implementation of key strategic projects.

Further, this role provides a great opportunity to influence positive change within the business at a highly strategic level and provides fantastic exposure to the decision makers of the business.


Specific skills, knowledge and experience required to be able to successfully deliver the role:
  • Qualified Accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Advanced Excel skills - ideally modelling experience
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Highly organised, multi-tasking skills, and ability to operate in within tight deadlines
  • Strong impact and credibility. Ability and confidence to influence and challenge decision-making
  • Strong communication skills - be able to convey detailed advice and information to non-finance stakeholders in a clear and articulate manner
  • Proactive, ambitious and self-motivated, with a "can-do" attitude

Salary & Benefits

up to £50k base salary plus car plus bonus
