I am currently recruiting a Logistics Team Leader to join an Engineering Manufacturing company in Crewe. As the Logistics Team Leader you will have experience of managing a small team of 8 ensuring deliveries are sent out on time every day. You must have experience of working within a similar role – Despatch or Warehouse or Logistics within Engineering manufacturing. Offering a salary of £25K to work Monday to Friday days. As a Logistics Team Leader your role will involve:

Responsible for a team of 8 whilst still remaining hands on – co-ordinating and directing them on day to day activities
Ensuring incoming goods are processed efficiently and all internal checking processes are adhered to
Control and log WIP
Ensure operational zones are safe and risk free
Assist in the movement of internal stock through internal stock through internal processes
Checks at goods in against delivery notes
Enter delivery notes accurately and promptly, matching the correct PO
Process stock, highlight shortages and late deliveries to relevant departments
Plan and execute perpetual and complete inventory counts

The suitable Logistics Team Leader will have the following experience

Managed or supervised a team of logistics / warehouse / despatch operators
Team Leadership experience
Able to demonstrate lean / CI manufacturing
Experience in goods in and / or despatch areas
Excellent communication skills
