My client, a world-leading NHS provider in SW London currently require a new interim Head of Clinical Applications to join their team in a long-term interim contract. Candidtes must have experience of;

Operational Requirements

Provide overall management to the community clinical systems teamManage the technical relationship with software suppliersBe the senior point of escalation for system problems and liaise with software suppliers in their resolutionManage the relationship with and provide system expertise/strategic support to 3rd party users of the system as agreed in any SLA with these organisationsDevise, manage and update system guidance and advise on best practiceReceive information from system suppliers on software developments, analyse their impact and present opportunities to the organisationManage software release cycles end to end, ensuring end users are well prepared and liaising with other departments such as IT where necessary.Manage the Registration Authority function for Community ServicesProvide a forum and opportunities for receipt of user feedback and implement a continuous improvement cycleDesign and manage the test and implementation cycle for all system and software changesPlanning & Organisation

Create and implement system upgrade implementation plans, liaising with all relevant stakeholders and manage implementation cycle ensuring minimum disruption to end-users and patients. This will often entail working out of hours.Ensure stakeholder engagement is maintained throughout the project cycle and in the ongoing management of the clinical systemEnsure that end users both clinical and non-clinical have the opportunity to contribute to system development plans and prioritisationDrive process efficiency supported by technology in a continuous cycle of service improvementStrategy & Service Improvement

Working within the community service strategic objectives; devise, implement and monitor the strategy for clinical systems in community services.As the organisations local system expert, provide advice and guidance on how to best exploit and develop the clinical system for maximum benefitAnalyse and assess opportunities for process improvements, and where appropriate motivate and influence other senior managers to improve workflow and processesAdvise on innovative opportunities and support all departments in their strategies and programmes to maximise service benefitIf you have experience in these areas then please do not delay in sending through your CV for review.
