We are looking for CNC Machinist to join our small but highly skilled team at Oldbury Engineering in Horley.

You will be responsible for machining aerospace, ground support equipment precision parts to company specifications and quality components within the MEL Aviation Group to ISO 9001 Standards.

The successful candidate will be required to take full responsibility for their work, including:-

* Machining low quantities of precision items in stainless steel, brass, aluminium & mild steels

* Full Knowledge of all workshop equipment

* Liaising with Machine Shop to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required

* Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level. Ensure minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions

* Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures

* Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying particular respect to colleagues and equipment

* Present a positive attitude at all times and an adaptable approach to problems

* Possible travel within the UK to other acquisition companies

The successful candidate will display a professional conduct at all times and will have a flexible attitude and approach to work. We require strong numerical and literacy skills and you must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Due to busy workload, we require you to have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adhere to tight deadlines.

Solid mechanical/engineering knowledge is essential in this role and in return you will have the support to develop and grow within an ever expanding company. Benefits include 22 days holiday, plus bank holidays and pension scheme.

You will be required to work 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00 and Friday 07:30 – 15:00 (half hour lunch).

Salary will be dependent on skills and experience.
